Ohio Classics 18U team is in need of a Pitcher/Position Player.
This is a non-parent coached team including all assistants. One assistant is a current Collegiate player
Due to a couple of players having conflicts with jobs are searching for a quality pitcher and a quality position player. This is an awesome opportunity for any '99, '98 or '00 player who is uncommitted.
We will carry 12 players on our roster. If you are an uncommitted player looking to get seen by the college coaches, this is the place. We have an extremely good track record of placing our players onto college rosters. All of this past year's players have received offers and over the course of the past 5 years we have placed 36 girls onto college rosters including 13-DI, 13-DII, 7-DIII and 3-NAIA. If you are already committed, no problem we will gladly add you to the Classic's family!
This past year's team completed their season finishing 5th at the Triple Crown Summer Nationals in Myrtle Beach.
We have been traditionally a strong team that plays in the top tournaments around Ohio. We will play an abbreviated but challenging schedule of 5 tournaments including Dayton Metro, Lasers Nation, Toledo Independence Classic, Stingrays and All-Sanctions WS in Columbus. May add a fun tournament the last weekend of July. I already have college coaches calling looking for players including pitchers as well as athletic position players.
Head coach Doug Mix is entering his 25th year of coaching travel softball and has a couple of national titles to his credit along with many high finishes. He also had 14 years of coaching high school softball and was part of one state finals team to go with 11 league titles. He has an unparalleled record when it comes to placing his players on collegiate rosters as well as helping those on other teams achieve an opportunity to play at the collegiate level.
