ASA Tournament Ohio Dragons ASA/USA Regional Qualifier 10U & 12U

Ohio Dragons are pleased to announce the Ohio Dragons ASA/USA Regional Qualifier for region 9 -10U and 12U on June 1-3, 2012.
Friday June 1 will only be used if necessary. We will try not give Friday games.

There will be 1 ASA/USA National berth given per age group (for 10U berth for Bloomington, IN and for 12U berth is for Moline, IL).

Tournament Details:
Date: June 1-3, 2012
Sanction: ASA "A" 10U and 12U
Format: 4 game guarantee. 2 pool play games into double elimination.
Cost: $425 per team required with registration
Location: Groveport Recreation and Aquatic Center, 7370 Groveport Rd Groveport, OH 43125.

All Pool play games will be 1:20 with no new inning. Bracket Play will be 1:40 finish the inning, ITB if needed. Championship game(s) will have no time limit.

All teams must be registered with ASA for 2012


All Head coaches will be required to show proof of ACE certification at check in.

Im confused..The ASA Ohio web site has all the Region 9 Qualifiers including this one June 15-17...

The date for the Ohio Dragons ASA/USA Regional qualifier was changed this weekend, due to the Lasers tournament being on June 15-17 and only 15-20 minutes from these fields

looks like a great start to the 12u teams would love to see some 10u teams chasing asa/usa nationals show some interest for some good compition and a chance to win that berth and not let it go unclaimed

I am surprised that there hasn't been more interest in the 10u qualifier, since ASA/USA tournament for that age bracket is in neighboring Indiana.

i have not got one team in 10u even interested yet i had 5 teams from out of state wanting in but we only can take ohio teams

Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought a Regional was open to any state.

Maybe list the out of state teams that are 'interested" as a marketing campaign. If Stro is right get their checks and see who follows.

An ASA/USA Regional Qualifier is open only to teams within that region. Region 9 is the state of Ohio, no other states are within Region 9.

An ASA/USA National Qualifier is open to any ASA team, from any state or region.

So, there won't be any listing of out-of-state-teams.
