18U Ohio Ice-Gold = Interested in players who have a strong work ethic and a strong positive attitude with an unwavering level of commitment to the team. Pitcher, Catcher and Middle Infield & Outfielders will be the primary focus to fill first with all other positions that could be open and needed to fill for those who are willing and able to commit to scheduled hard practices and training. 16u Ohio Ice-Gray= A new team with a new beginning that has over 16 years of combined outstanding coaching experience with achievements too numerous to list here. Combing knowledge, experience, technology and a lot of dedicated hard work our goal will be to improve each player?s ability and skill set to become a college prospect. Through our achievements the goal as a team each year will be to qualify for the 16u ASA Nationals. All positions are open for try outs. Team practice will start shortly after try outs on our field in the Canton area. We will practice during the winter at the Spano Dome and Hall of Fame Fitness in Canton. We will play in 2 or 3 tournaments during the late summer and fall, Spano Dome tournaments during the winter and a very hard challenging 2017 summer schedule.

14u Ohio Ice-Red = Ice-Red is coming off a very impressive summer completing the 2016 season at 53-15. Priority will be for Pitching, Outfielders and an infielder but everyone who thinks they have what it takes is more than welcome to try out. Practice weekly during the winter inside the Spano Dome.

12u Ohio Ice-Orange = Looking for ?04 players. Our team will play a very competitive schedule. The coaching staff believes in strong fundamentals, and improving knowledge of the game of softball. We will practice in the late summer and fall in the Akron area. We will also play in fall tournaments during this time. Then, in early November, we will start indoor practice at the Spano Dome. This will include 2 hours of fielding/defensive strategy and 1 ? hours of hitting through the winter until the middle of March. We will play in the Spano tournament and the Spano Spring League. This team will play 7-8 quality tournaments and possibly one national tournament.

11u Ohio Ice-Blue = Looking for ?05 players. Ohio Ice-Blue is transitioning up from 10u into an 11u team for the 2016-17 season. With a very strong core of players moving up from last season we are looking to finish out the team with hard working, dedicated athletes to complete our roster.

10u Ohio Ice-White = If you want to play on an Elite travel team, this is it. Head Coach Terry Bristow 25 yrs. experience, coached over 1000 games. This past season the team record was 70-7-1 winning 9 tournaments. I have my own practice facility with batting cage and full size field for outdoor practice. 9u Ohio Ice-Black = This will be primarily a 9u team with all positions looking to be filled for the 2016/17 season. We will play in approximately 10 ? 12 tournaments from this fall until the end of the 2017 summer season. Practices will start toward the end of this summer and continue throughout the fall at which time we will move inside the Spano Dome for winter practice. We will also participate in the winter tournament at the Dome and play in the Spring League. This team will be coached by Sam Petrash and Gregg Unverferth and one more to be selected. This is a great opportunity for young athletic players to join a fantastic organization with solid resources and a successful history.

I want to thank the Ohio Ice for the opportunity to coach in their program. This is an exciting opportunity for me as a coach and for any player interested in developing their softball skills. I do have a ten year history of coaching this game and have participated on many levels ranging from college showcase adventures down to recreation level. Competing against Ohio Ice teams in the past and getting to know their coaches over the years helped me realize that this is a solid organization with first class values. I also realize prospecting for 9 year old players in the tournament world is tough so please feel free to pass on our tryout information to families who are looking to get involved but may not know where to begin.
