18U Ohio Ice-Gold = Interested in players who have a strong work ethic and a strong positive attitude with an unwavering level of commitment to the team. All positions could be open and needed to fill for those who are willing and able to commit to scheduled hard practices and training. 14u Ohio Ice-Black = Our team is currently 00 birthdates that will be moving up, but we will consider 00 & 99 girls. All positions are needed. This past year at 12U we were one of the top teams in the State playing a competitive schedule that included Lasers, Stingrays, GAPSS, ASA States and many others. We plan to play a similarly tough schedule next year which will include these same tournaments as well as the high school indoor winter league at the Spano Dome. The coaching staff (David Poling & Tim O?Wesney) has a combined 23 years of coaching experience, mostly at the 14U & 16U level. If your daughter wants to work hard, receive top notch instruction, and play a very competitive schedule; then we look forward to seeing you at tryouts!

10u Ohio Ice-Orange = New team with a highly experienced coach looking to fill all positions. Coach Bristow has over 22 years and 1300 games worth of experience with no child of his own on this team. Team practice will be inside the Spano Dome during the winter with fall and spring practice conducted at his field in the Canton South area.

The Ohio Ice White is a second year 16U team that will be coached by Cliff Philen and Ron Poole. If you are unable to attend scheduled tryouts, please contact Coach Philen to arrange a private tryout (Crphilenjr@aol.com or 330-730-7076). Pitchers and catchers, please be prepared to showcase your skill sets from 9:00 to 9:30 P.M. each day. Winter practices will be held at the Spano Dome with fair weather practices held in Tallmadge.

For those athletes with the drive and desire to play at the collegiate level, consider this opportunity a "Don't Miss Out."

I want to give a strong recommendation for the 13/14-U Ice Black team. Dave and Tim are great guys, and they have a small nucleus of very talented and extremely nice young ladies to build around. I know they are looking at players for essentially all positions, so don't assume they are only looking for one or two bench players this year. The Ice organization has one of the best reputations in the state, access to the Spano Dome which has been significantly upgraded in the last year, and the name to help get into some more of the prestigious tournaments. If you are looking for a new team, please do yourself a favor and give this team a serious look.

Totally agree with Jeff. As someone who coached in this organization, I can tell you that the Ohio Ice are committed to helping develop and promote high quality softball players. Every year, the organization has talented teams at almost every age level. I am sure 2013/2014 will be another great year for the Ohio Ice.

The 14U Ohio Ice Black had a great turnout for tryouts Tuesday with some serious athletes and we are looking to wrap everything up Thursday. Still need one or two great athletes to round out our infield/outfield/catching spots. Looking also to fill one pitching spot.
