Due to a great player deciding to retire her cleats this summer, we are seeking an experienced pitcher to complete our 16u roster. The team fees will be sponsored for our new recruit!!
We have great catchers and are seeking a #1 type front of the rotation pitcher to complete our team. Ohio Power Softball is located in Richfield Ohio (Akron/Cleveland). This team includes a core of players who won 4 ASA tourneys last season. We will play a mix of local and overnight tourneys (Columbus, Findlay) including National Qualifiers and Showcases (ie. Lasers Nation, ASA States, Buckeye Recruitfest, participating in NFCA camp, etc.)
Our 16u team is coached by Megan Bricker (former HS 3 sport athlete and softball All-State player, Youngstown State 4yr softball player, 2006 Horizon League Champ, Current V Softball Head Coach Strongsville HS, Prior Copley HS V Assistant Coach - District Finals 3 of last 4 yrs and Pinnacle Sports hitting instructor) and Alex Riedeman (4 year collegiate pitcher recently graduated from Akron U. Alex was 2008 WJCA Conference Pitcher of the Year was recruited to D1 Akron from a Nationals event and won multiple other All-Region MVP honors).
When the HS season has ended, we will begin twice per week practice at the Ohio Power Softball facility - Powerhouse - with private outdoor field, indoor turfed practice area and hitting cages conveniently located in Richfield near I-77.
We will play a mix of local sanctioned ASA/USA, ASA, NSA qualifiers and also out of town showcase tournaments.
