Ohio Thunder 04 (Formerly Mason Thunder) will be holding private tryouts on the following dates; 8/4/15, 8/8/15, and 8/15/15. The 04 team is looking to hold private tryouts in advance of the open tryout dates.
This will be a first year team in the organization. This is an opportunity for young ladies to be a part of a great organization that will grow to 10 teams in 2015-2016. We are looking for kids who are talented and coachable who want to be a part of the team's core that remains together into the foreseeable future. All positions are welcome to tryout. We will consider a player who plays any position. The ideal player will have a nice skill set as a foundation and still have room to develop and grow. We are looking for those kids who have supportive parents. Kids who work at their craft away from the team either through personal instruction or working with their parents would be of particular interest. We are interested in players who can execute the fundamentals. Special consideration will be give to those girls that meet the above criteria that also have excellent speed, slap, bunt, and handle the bat well, and those kids who can and will play multiple positions.
Our coaching staff will place a heavy emphasis on teaching the correct fundamentals of the game and teaching kids to be mentally tough. We believe in a positive coaching style that provides praise for a job well done and constructive criticism when needed.
