Ohio Wesleyan University will hold their annual softball camp on June 9 thru June 12, 2008.

Mid-Ohio Softball Camp
This clinic is designed to help improve softball fundamentals for softball athletes of all ages and ability levels. Head Coach Cassie Cunningham, Assistant Coach Amy Stoner and members of the 2008 Battling Bishops Softball team as well as OWU Pitching Coach Emily-Windle Halpin will run the camp and provide instruction.

Camp will include:

Lectures: Lectures and demonstrations given in all aspects of softball.
Fielding: Throwing, fielding fundamentals, drills, weights, flexibility, agility, and strength training.
Hitting; Fundamentals of hitting and bunting, proper stance and stride, machine and live arm pitching.
Pitching: Basic techniques and form, consistency, different pitches and grips, reading batters and drills.
Catching: Stance, throwing, communication with the pitcher and team signals, reading batters and their stances, drills.


Site: Margaret Sagan Field (OWU Campus)

Time: 8:00am-1:00pm (Monday-Thursday)

Ages: The clinic is open to all girls in 5th -12th grades. (Girls will be divided into age appropriate groups for instruction.)

Cost: $75- pre-registration & includes a camp t-shirt ($80 at the door)

To bad they are having them , while many kids are still in school due to winter make up days. This would be a good camp.
