| The Ohio Wolfpack Organization welcomes back the OHIO WOLFPACK BLACK 16U travel team who will be holding tryouts on the following dates: (This is a new team) | ||||||||||||||||
| Friday - August 12th, 2016 - 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm at Goodpasture Stadium (Varsity Field) | ||||||||||||||||
| Field Location - 7th St. NE North Canton, Ohio 44720 (across the street from North Canton (Hoover) High School) | ||||||||||||||||
| Make-up date in case of rain-out for the August 12th tryout will be announce at a later date. | ||||||||||||||||
| Please arrive 30 minutes prior to 5 pm to register, stretch, review the try-out schedule & warm-up. | ||||||||||||||||
| Pitchers & catchers should plan on staying after tryouts. | ||||||||||||||||
| The Ohio Wolfpack Black teams between 2002 thru 2010 had a rich tradition of having some of the best travel softball teams and players in Ohio and Midwest region. | ||||||||||||||||
| This consistent accomplishment of these teams was based upon developing dedicated, coach-able and unselfish softball players. "The team was always greater than any individual". | ||||||||||||||||
| The coaching staff will emphasize developing sound instructional fielding, throwing , base running and hitting techniques that is repeatable & transferable into game situations. | ||||||||||||||||
| The above formula was able to successfully showcase many of our players to college coaches. | ||||||||||||||||
| Our coaching staff will consist of: Phil Marcantonio, Todd Arney, Andrea Arney and Rusty Curry. Our staff will also has access to the legendary Jerry Goodpasture as our Special Pitching Instructional coach. | ||||||||||||||||
| For the 2017 travel ball season, The Ohio Wolfpack Black 16U team will look to attend 16U ASA qualifiers, goal is to qualify for 16U ASA Nationals (to be held in Normal, IL), showcases and play 18U tournaments. | ||||||||||||||||
| 1. Fall - we will practice weekly and plan on attending (2) tournaments (ASA qualifier and a showcase) | ||||||||||||||||
| 2. Winter - we will practice weekly (we have several options on what day & where our practices can be held) | ||||||||||||||||
| 3. Summer - we will practice one night a week at Goodpasture Stadium through the travel ball season. (June thru ASA Nationals) | ||||||||||||||||
