Gotta think the eagles are gonna stay focused and get the job done. Its crunch time and they should be fine. Have to give nv credit tho cuz southview would have been my pick easily in that district. Clay should get it done. Nv win over sv shows you dont have to win big ya just have to win.

Im really torn on this NV-Clay game, With having 3 girls on NV that is on my summer team, Ali Sayre, Natalie DiCola and Bekka Apardian(all fantastic young ladies) I want to see them do well, But also being a TCL guy I want Clay to do well....
I really think Graham(who IMHO is pitching great right now and one of the best) will shut down NV and the speed of Clay will bring some stress to NV`s defense and win the game..All though Sayre can shut any team down at any given time.............I wish both teams GOOD LUCK and I wish I could be there but I have to work late so I can take off Sat for DD`s graduation party.lol

643dp,..I'm with you, it's hard to choose. I'm a fan of Northview's Aly Matthews and Bekka Apardian. I've known them for several years and think they're great kids. I've coached against so many of those Clay girls for years back to when they were in the 5th and 6th grade, so I want to see them do well also,(Graham, Rice, Wise, Stibby, and Ol' Bob Graham too.) I hope both teams play an error free game and just let the best team win and then go on to represent NWO in D1.
Given that scenerio, I've got to go with Clay. I think they're peaking at the right time, and that's extremely important at this point in the tournament. As well as Northview is playing, they are not known for piling up runs, and they'll need several for the upset today. NOW,..All that being said, the last time I bet on a sport was 1985. I gave 4 people 7 points and the Dolphins against the Bears on a Monday night game. It was 21 to 0 Dolphins before the Bears scored and eventually lost,......THE ONLY GAME THEY LOST ALL STINKING YEAR !!!......So what do I know,...The game must be played.

Clay girls got to diamond and said it was under water completely so friday probably safer for good weather. Back to back games again for the winner. Yippee. Eagles should keep rollin.

I would agree that Clay looks to win this game. However NV has played real well as of late. I would not at all be surprised if this was a close game. The 2 best offensive teams this year in NWO would have to be AW and Clay.

NV beat AW 2-1 and Clay beat Waite 1-0. What does this prove maybe nothing or that NV pitching can quiet bats and Clay can struggle hit at times. Were they not out hit their last game (Sandusky)? If the NV pitching can keep the runs down, Big IF. I believe NV can score some runs off Clay.

i cant see nv scoring much and after watching the nv sv game i didnt see much there either, but it could be a close game if clay's bats are quiet and you never know with a lefty throw n. clay's pitching and defense is superior and should get the job done. may the best team win.

Clay has the fire power on both sides. NV will not keep up with Clays speed on the bases and ablity to hit the ball. If Clay can stay off the inside pitch which is called often by NV on good hitting teams they will be scoring serveral runs early in the game. I wish both teams well and would like to see the NNL to well. However, if we are all honest and know the teams from NNL the best my not be represent. But NV won the districts to move forward. Wouldn't be interesting if it was the best 2 out 3 to determine who advances to next level. Anything can happen any given day in HighSchool ball.

IMO.....The key will be Northviews Defense, If Sarye pitches she will keep Clays hitter off balance, but not strike out many Clay will still put ball in play and put pressure on the D.... If Matthews pitches she has more power but I think that plays into Clays style a little more with Holmes, Crawford and Thompson putting ball in play and Stibaner, Wise, Simon, Rice driving them all in. NV struggles with scoring and like I said Kasey G is pitching very nice right now...With saying that Clay has had almost a week off Does that help or hurt?????

As for the NLL not having it's best representative, that's not going to fly. A.W. and Springfield both had a shot at Clay in post season and got drubbed. As I stated earlier, I think Clay should move on, but the game has to be played. Give Northview their due, they're winning when they have to.
