In the 12U the Ohio Classics, Stingrays Blue and Laser Orange each won their Pool, going 3-0 in pool play. Does anyone have any updates in the 14U age group?

The four teams getting byes at 14-U were Ohio Classics, Stingrays, Buckeye Heat (May) and I think one of the Road Runners teams. I could be wrong about all of that, it's from memory when I left the park.

I do not believe the 14U Classics got a bye. they have an 8:00 a.m. game tomorrow morning after winning their 1st bracket game tonight. Sorry, I am kinda stepping in from the side here because I coach the 10U team and my oldest is on the 14U team. So, I have not been following to much of the 14U games.

Sorry to followup on this post again. However, I appreciate the Lasers 11U presenting the Turbos 12U pitcher with the game ball after their game at Diley Middle school. The Turbos 12U team were down a pitcher this weekend so they are playing with a 10U pitcher who is in 4th grade. this little player pitched her heart out and did very well. This is a lot of Class..

Thanks much

It didn't take long to figure out I was wrong. I know the Heat got one of the byes and I'm sure the Stingrays got one.

Yes Jeff, I certainly would also like to thank the Lasers for the game ball also. My daughter Katie was the 4th grader for the Turbos who did a nice job against great competition today. She and I won't forget gestures like this. It is what makes fastpitch softball the great game it is.

Mike I was the one who presented your daughter with the game ball and she deserved it very much, she's a real competitor. I'd also like to thank the class coach (Jeff Kopler Classics 10U) who is known to make these kind of suggestions. Hey JoeA are you down at the Classics tourney, if so I need some info on your new squash organization. Kimi and Dakota are both expressing alot of interest in making the transition from travel softball to travel squash. ;)

Thanks Bink, it certainly was a very nice thing to do. ?Katie has the ball on her dresser, right in front of my picture (LOL). ?

Katie has expressed interest in this squash thing as well, she is very pumped up about it since it is a great team sport. ?Or is it a vegetable? ?I forget. ? But with the powerful backing of an organization like the Heat and JoeA, this sport will really take off and I can see future Olympians being molded as we speak. ?What a world.

Not played or seen Squash before but if it is a team sport, I may be interested. Thanks much guys. We are really making this a great year for everyone. I can't think of a better way to keep our girls out of idle time (With school out) and getting into trouble and they staying with a very good group of girls that are all into the same thing. This is so great. never had this when I was a kid so lets keep going strong for the girls. They make great friends and grow into very good young adults.

The 18U Champion was the Central Ohio Stingrays-Ward. They defeated the Central Ohio Lady Rebels (I'm not sure which one) 1-0.

Haven't heard about the 12U

Another nice job by the Classics with the tournament. Nice fields, good weather, things were organized, etc. I got to enjoy watching many games this weekend with my team being off.

Congrads to the Ohio SWARM 16&U for winning the 16&U division! The team is really starting to come together and play some solid softball. With an overall record of 28-9, they have already exceeded all of the pre-season predictions.

Keep it going ladies!

Thanks for all the teams attending our Ohio Classics tournament. Our parents work very hard to make this event 1st class. Diamonds raked and lined inbetween every game and great concessions. Please visit our website for the Fall tournament 9/30/05 thru 10/2/05. This should be after most everyone's tryouts and should give everyone a very good idea of where they stand after picking up new pics for 2006 teams. Last year's Fall tournament was a very good success and we are looking forward to many more teams coming this year. Plus, it is a 2006 NSA Qualifier!! What a way to get your new pics pumped up.
