Has anybody experienced giving a letter to your dd HS coach from her sports therapist stating she is no longer to pitch do to lateral epicondylitis problems, but able to participate in other positions 100% . How did the coach handle it?Any reprecussion? What steps were taken so the coach doesn't hold it against her?If any.

I don't know about a sports therapist, but a note from a medical doctor should suffice. If a coach has a problem with following a medical doctors orders, that coach should be fired for not putting a kid's health and well being first. We have had several medical situations with our kids concerning sports, and have NEVER had a problem with the coaches understanding, and putting the kids first. The health of the kid has to come first.

Are you having a problem with a coach, or do they not believe that your DD has a valid medical condition?

Sammy no problems, just never incountered anything like this before. Thanks for your advice and wisdom. I would like to think the coach will take her health into consideration; if not we will have a problem. Thanks
