So, i see on social media recently where a young player is looking for an A level team. And posted some relevant stats and video to support her case as an A level player.

The question is, why is it that the vast majority of teams that I see responding to her, are low level B (or lower) teams????? Is it the coach just upselling their team to try and land a good player, hoping that the parents won't research them? Complete lack of a clue as to skill level of an A level team?? Lack of reading comprehension??

Also, if your team has been looking for "final 1-2 pieces to round out our solid returning core of great players" since September...... You may have a problem fielding a competitive team come May/June.

just boring winter season observations.

I see this type of frenzy happen anytime any player posts they are looking for a team. I am sure it has to do with the fact that there are many teams that are just barely holding on so any player is a potential roster savior. I also find it funny that people will post they are looking for teams within an hour from (fill in the blank location) only to have every B or even C team from multiple hours away chiming in. I guess some of that could be they dont look at the distance, just want to get their team in the mix before anyone else?

I am also wondering how many of the "anonymous member" posts end up being the same family that just keeps altering the ability list of their player hoping to find the right phrases that might peak interest of their desired team(s)? This likely has to do with some people not really putting much stock into the self proclaimed player level and just commenting on every player that could fill a roster spot?

it is always worth a chuckle when player in say Grove City, posts looking for a team 'Within 45 mins to 1 hour drive'. And the replies all come roaring in from Toledo, Cincy, Akron, Cleveland, WV, PA, etc.
