Mr. Smith, I was all set to bring some of your skeletons out of the closet, but it really wouldn't be productive. Just know people see through your motives for Your HS coaching position.

OFC'ers, I go against the norm. I tried to bring to light the voice that goes unheard. It's many times not the popular view, and many times comes with ridicule. The ridicule doesn't bother me as long as the point is made. Too many people are afraid to say the things that I say because of the fear of being ostracized. I'm not that person. I say what I say and stand behind every word.

Thanks Wow! I'm glad a senior member such as yourself took the time to show this junior member the ropes. I'm glad you were able to get your 2 cents into this thread . I will continue to try harder so I can be an internet hero such as yourself

I would also like to add that I have met Cami, and wow what an impressive young lady. Super personable, driven, leader, business woman, caring individual. I encourage everyone to make her feel welcome here! She is a great asset to this site.

IMO, CP should be encouraged to be our "Bretman" of D1 softball contact for this site. Paging - Ricky!

In case you don't know, CP played her travel ball for some of the most elite softball organizations known to Ohio. Her Ohio Slammers team would probably beat the pants off of any Ohio team in existence today. Yes - it's true.
Her family then pioneered the move to Bandits before most folks around here even heard of it. This is a contact you D1 parents should solicit info from instead of us arm chair softball pros.

Don't even get me started on her OSU career. Day 1 starter as a freshman and continued the entire 4 year career.

Also, if you parents want to see how to do a recruiting video - her Youtube should be your first and last stop.

And while I am on here, I would like to mention that I contacted Coach Lee with a question regarding another organization when we first got into travel ball. He did not know me or my daughter but he took about an hour of his time to talk to me about what to look for in a team and what we could expect in our new venture. He was a class act. I have not seen him or talked to him since, but I was very impressed with the time he took to help me. Keep up the great work coach!

Smith Softball ... thanks for taking the time to share your story, and hopefully setting the record straight for a lot of people. I do know that there were some members of that Valley Extreme team who had hard feelings about the situation, but my assumption was always that Lee handled things properly and that there was at least a partial breakdown in communication within the Valley Extreme team about what had been committed to and what to expect at the end of the year. There are unfortunately probably always going to be hard feelings when good and/or well-liked players play on another team or move on. I have talked with Lee many times over the years, and while he is no doubt a competitive coach, I am a very good judge of people and know without a shadow of a doubt that his real passion is helping his players (and often even other teams' players) and their families to reach their goals of playing in college.

The best judges of a coach are usually the coaches he or she coaches against. I had the pleasure to coach against Lee a few years back, and several others have posted here and the consensus is clearly that he's not only an outstanding coach, but a class act and individual.

I've been off OFC for a while. I don't see how you have the time to waste on here. Wishyouwereme sounds a little butt hurt over one thing or the other... my dd played one year for coach Lee and it wasn't a great fit. Although she learned a lot about the game being around a ton of great players and Lee as a coach. She just wanted more pitching time so we left. Who cares when a kid or parent is approched by a coach? I don't... and if you do that's your issue dumb a**. It's a cut throat sport. And player, parents and coaches do what they think is best for there kids or themselves no matter the time of year.. if you don't like someone recruiting all year round then you're probably on the wrong team and if you get offended by it then step up and say something about it. If you don't get an offer or "poached" from a high level coach your "player" don't cut the cake wtf is your problem. A little girl like you wouldn't make it in a male sport world like boxing or any other type of contact sport. You cry to much... You get away with this because this is a little girl sport. My daughter has been boxing since 6 yrs old and around the sport since she was born. If you think that laser Lee is a bad man because he can take your daughters teammate away from you why bring your wife to the next game or tournament with you and look me up I'll show her a real man. and I'll show you how I can take her away from you let's be honest I date a 27 yr old ex Ohio State Cheerleader I do ok.. What you should probably do is stop by RoninTraning center here in lil ole Grandview Ohio and release some of that build up frustration bud. You can't fake fighting my friend there is no pretend in that world. But let me tell you what there in that world, a ton of poaching the best boxers in the world to your camp... I work with Chad Van Sickle, Travis Davis, Lance Phillips and Dan Spohn. I would love to see you stop by the gym anytime we spar on Mondays Tuesdays Wednesdays Thursdays Fridays and Saturdays. We're about to get to the grind right now as a matter fact I'm sitting in my big red truck responding this dumb shit. In this world we will not only take the best fighters but will also take your girlfriend or your wife if she looks at me the right way I will even take your side piece it don't matter to me. I'm just me.. Most people on here know who I am I don't hide behind a moniker. Messing with my boy Kyle Creek who really is just dad in this for the love of the games and his dd if you've ever talk to Kyle he'll keep you there for two hours. He's a cool dude with a great kid. So I'm not sure what your personal vendetta is with picking on a guy like that or a guy like laser Lee who is not physical in nature and truly only tries to do what he thinks is best for his current team and his future team. Who cares if he gets players in different ways and recruits all year. it's the nature of the beast grow a set of nuts! and if your daughter don't make the cut then maybe you should hit the gym or the batting cage a little more often. if you can't handle the fact that she's not cut out to be a laser then maybe you should pick another sport or a hobby would be better. I've never seen more parents act like little girls in any sport more so than the little girls themselves in this game of Fastpitch softball then I've seen over the past seven years being involved in it. A bunch of crybabies feel sorry for yourself goofballs that wouldn't survive if they were in a male sport. Let's get religious here and you should probably thank God that you had a lil girl instead of boy because if you acted like a little bi*** in the gym you and your little Johnny would get your ass is kicked and never come back... you can't fake fighting there is no pretend there believe me I have a 16-year-old daughter who is still a fighter and if you would like to give me a call or stop by the training center she can probably give you a brief education on what it's like to get your ass kicked and get back up make no excuses and keep on fighting.. So stop all your crybaby bullshit and either step to Lee tell him you want to seem in a backyard tell him you want to see him at the gym tell him that you don't appreciate anything that he does and you'll meet him behind the local giant eagle when no ones looking. And I'll be at the Hollywood Casino tonight with my brother John Johnson, Travis Davis and Lance Phillips watching the the fights live if you want to stop by. Starts at 730pm tonight Oct 7th in the main ballroom. I'll be there looking for future fighters as well as watching my current team do what they do and and if I see a diamond in the rough I don't care if sister Mary is with him we will try our best to get that fighter to join our team it's all about the mighty Dinero in this business.. In this little girls sports it's about scholarship there is no pro let's keep that real.
