Pond’s Grand Slam Leads No. 3 Ohio Softball Past No. 1 Miami to Advance to MAC Championship Game
Highlighted by a seventh-inning grand slam by freshman Charlee Pond, the No. 3 Ohio softball team (34-19) came from behind to defeat the top-seeded Miami (35-14), 7-3, Friday evening at the Mid-American Conference Tournament Semifinals inside Firestone Stadium. The victory advanced the Bobcats to the MAC Championship series to the fourth-straight year. Ohio will play for their second-straight MAC title on Saturday, May 11 at 1 p.m.
