I was lucky enough to catch some games at the Prebis Tournament on Saturday. It's been 3 years since DD played here. Some observations.
1. The fields were in excellent shape despite tons of rain in the 48 hours leading up.
2. On the five fields there were excellent pitchers (plenty of D1 prospects and commits). It was truly difficult to pick and choose which games to watch. The level and quality of pitching has just grown exponentially in the past 5 years. Speed, movement, accuracy definitely displayed by these young athletes.
3. I saw some big time hitters hit those big time pitchers.
4. This is "bucket list" of tournaments that both players and fans should want to attend. High School ball gets so much flack on this website, but the huge crowds, and the comradery of the high school teams is at a level that goes unmatched in the summer. Props to the organizers of this fine tourney.
