Dtown I agree alot of the " go green" is marketing. I know that Sad and Benbudda are thinking that the little bit they do is not going to hurt anything. I grew up on a farm. We burned our trash and had our own dump as did all our neighbors. We used old motor oil to kill weeds and did a hundred other things that we wouldn't think about doing today. Now at that same farm we have trash pick-up,recycle the oil and have had the our old dump as well as the one on an adjacent farm we bought cleaned up (not cheap). We felt it was the right thing to do even if our little bit might not make a difference.
I say "let it burn, baby" !!!
The original post about recycling bins at tournaments is a great idea. The TDs could probably call their county solid waste districts for guidance. The Ohio EPA also has a website on recycling which may be helpful.
I could either burn it or dump it and I choose burn!!
I'm no tree hugger (unless my tree stand is iced up during the rut) but if we had bins at the tourney's and we can contribute lets do it. Simple and my 2 cents...
As far as marketing, you had better believe it is out there! If I can design a new product with 50% more efficiency than the next company's product.... we will ride the wave!!! A true competitive advantage in a stagnate, old, or mature market will allow us to keep people working and staying capitalistic, profitable, (not trying to be political) and growing profits----let it be green.
