I have been a long standing traditionlist that in terms of fastpitch softball, the Northeast Region is the strongest of the four regions. ?I am partial to Central Ohio softball, and they can hold there own, as the Southwest and Northwest regions can.
But for overall talent for 2008, is the Northeast still "Hotbead". ?
Now the Central District will inherit the Southeast as they do in the state tournament run, and that beefs up II,III, and IV.
Southwest Claims Dayton and Urbana, again, solidifying the smaller divisions.
I know we can use past champions as a solid indicator as to who has the best team each year, but overall talent pool, which region is strongest? ?My gut feeling is the Northeast, as I can't shake the Akron-Canton-Massilon-Uniontown-Youngstown-Ravenna- connections.
Any thoughts :-/ :-/ :-/
