I'm not a coach but I would assume that - no - it is not to early to set the scrimmages,I know at the coaches clinic in a week and a half there will be a large note pad for extra games, scrimmages, etc. for teams to sign up on.
Northmor High School, a Central District D3 school in Northern Morrow county, is still looking for a few HS scrimmages. ?Email or IM me if you have any openings.

I don't know if this is the 'correct' place to address this question, but I'll try here and see what happens anyway. My question is about scrimmages or games for jv. Is it possible/permissable for a varsity team to play against a truly topnotch jv team? It is hard for some jv teams that are really talented to have great competition. If it were only possible I would say we should have two varsity teams and forget the jv. The whole idea is to improve the group for the upper level play and that seems hard from this viewpoint. Any ideas? Anybody else in this predicament?
