My DD has been slapping now for her 2nd year, I would like her to get into another clinic to see if they can polish her up a bit. Does anyone know of any upcoming Slap clinics in Central / North Central Ohio?

Cassie Cunningham from OWU has one at Millersport High School. I think it is in Dec or Jan. She is the head coach and played at Capital University. Scott Pohlman runs it and he can update this when he reads it. Coach B at WSU use to have one, but he is now gone , so not sure if they will have one. Just noticed Kent State has one on Nov 15. Only been to a hitting camp there, so I can't say if the slapping is a good camp. The hitting camp I was not impressed with a few years ago.

Thanks SBFAMILY... we attended Coach Cunningham's camp last year it was near the end of January... In fact we had a good snowfall on the way home. It was a great Camp.. DD was a little tired when we got there... so her "Tude" was not the greatest. She had it Adjusted on the way home... and really took everything she learned and capitalized on it. Ended up batting over .400 with OBP of .800+. She just wants to keep up on things and get as much time in the cage with "Someone who knows more than DAD." So she says... I will look for Scott to post something about a possible date...

Thanks again..

We were at that camp and man did it snow on the way home. Going home on 661 with the hills was a treat while the dd was sleeping. There have been some pretty good slapping articles. You will find as the dd gets older the defense - SS get better and speed and the ability to put the ball in the correct spot is very important. Hitting the ball into the ground , 3 feet out in front of the plate to take the speed of the ball becomes very important. That is one thing we work on using a T and hitting a spot she trys to hit the ball at. If I can find the article I will post the source for you.
