What till she gets to hit off the pitcher from 43 feet. It is a field day for the bunters and slappers. The gap between the pitcher and first base is ideal. I timed it , if the defensive player has to take 3 steps it is history.

Well at that college skills camp the games she played in, they did pitch from 43' going 2-4 a soft slap, and a bunt, reaching safely, and then two pop ups to pitcher and third, is what got her so excited.

Why doesn't anyone teach the push bunt from the right side. Extremely effective and most defenses do not know how to field it. Are you bunting , no you are pushing in through the defense when the defense sees you bat out there corners will charge leaving second base and shortstop to cover their respective bags. Leaving the defense confused pulling shortstop to second and second to first . Big holes and no coverage at third. Runner from first, if fast can usually make it to third.

this is true, I saw that this weekend. However the defense coach must have also seen it in the past as the left fielder came in and placed the tag out on the runner at third. In fact she kinda came around the back of the third base coach (sneaking) and then slipped in right behind him as he was waving the runner from 2nd to 3rd and when the left fielder approached the bag, it was too late. that is the result of a WELL TRAINED and practiced team. I agree with you MOST wont cover that!!!
