Ryan Friend hit three of the Bees' seven home runs as St. Ambrose swept a doubleheader at Iowa Wesleyan by scores of 6-1 and 15-1 Sunday afternoon.

Friend and Christina Pembrook each homered in the opener before Friend hit two of the team's five in the five-inning Game 2 win that moved SAU to 26-18 overall.

It was some small ball that got the Bees on the board first. Pembrook started the first game by drawing a walk and advancing to second on a passed ball. She moved to third Megan Ballegeer's ground out before scoring on Morgan Krieger's sacrifice bunt.

Madelyn Thompson doubled before coming around to score on Friend's two-run shot in the sixth to end the scoring.

Ashley Yattoni got the win after striking out seven over four innings. Ella Specht threw the final three innings to earn the save.
