Tommi Goodman hurt her knee prior to the spring softball season and many of the schools recruiting her backed off — but not the Ladyjacks from Nacogdoches.
When Goodman worked her way back to health many schools came calling again, but she remembered who stayed with her — Stephen F. Austin State University.
On Wednesday, Goodman, a Tyler Junior College standout, signed with SFA coach Nicole Dickson, a former TJC coach, and the Ladyjacks. Her father Tommy Goodman and stepmom Susan Goodman, along with her grandparents, Gary and Connie McGregor, were on hand for the ceremony that took place in the foyer of Wagstaff Gymnasium. Also, her teammates and coaches present.
