SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University softball team is set to open the 2018 WHAC Tournament against University of Northwestern Ohio on Wednesday, May 2 at 6 p.m. on field six. The tournament is hosted at Pacesetter Park in Sylvania, Ohio.
Lawrence Tech (18-16, 11-9) earned the fifth-seed after an 11-9 record in conference play. They went 1-1 in the regular season over Northwestern Ohio, taking game one 4-1 and falling in game two 4-1. If the Blue Devils win, they face the winner of top-seed Madonna (Mich.) University and eighth-seed Concordia (Mich.) University - Ann Arbor at 8:30 p.m. on field five. If they lose, they will play on on field six at 8:30 p.m.
