NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel Threshers (9-6, 5-1) are off to their best start in program history against KCAC foes, as they put together an eerily familiar sweep yesterday afternoon against the Southwestern Moundbuilders (7-11, 1-5). Game 1 featured a lockdown pitching performance from Madison McDowell (SR/Basehor, Kan.), who tossed Bethel's first complete-game shutout since 2016. The Threshers were able to give enough run support for a 5-0 victory. Game 2 involved a bit more theatrics, as the "Cardiac Kids" decided to wait until the bottom of the sixth inning to bring their bats to life. Trailing 3-0 at that point, Bethel logged a total of four runs off six hits in the inning and captured the win, 4-3.
