SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- Meredith Adams (SO/Portage, Mich. ), Alexa Cherney (SO/Farmington Hills, Mich. ), and Brittany Wieland (FR/Alexandria, Va.) of the Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University softball team earned Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Second Team All-Conference honors, the conference office announced Wednesday afternoon. Adam and Cherney are receiving honors for the second straight season while Wieland earns conference honors in her first collegiate season.
Adams led the team in batting average (.371), RBI (22), hits (39), and at-bats (105). Adams scored 14 runs and finished the season with a .495 slugging percentage. Adams earned first team honors as a freshman.
