Hannah Morton had a brilliant career at Georgetown College, but was determined that May 5 was not going to be her final softball game. The Indiana native learned Wednesday (exactly a month later) she was drafted in a developing professional league – American Softball Association.

The ASBA has four teams that play a schedule from mid-June through July. Morton was a second round selection of Performance Lab. PL is one of two new teams to the league sponsors this year. Returning teams from the inaugural 2018 season are Moh – BEEL! USA and E1 Pro Ballers. The Field and PL replace Future 1s and Outkast, which finished second and third respectively this past year.

Morton pitched 531 innings for Georgetown with 496 strikeouts in four seasons in the circle for the Tigers. She finished with 55 wins and a 2.21 ERA. She also played first and hit from time to time. She had 36 hits in 141 plate appearances with nine doubles, one triple, two home runs, 13 RBI and 10 runs scored.
