WICHITA, Kan. -- After hitting .571 - including an inside-the-park home run - on the week, Makenzie Musgrove was named the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week for the week ending March 31. Despite Avila (14-10, 8-0 KCAC) having only one doubleheader on the week courtesy of a bye in the KCAC schedule, the Blue Springs, Mo., native assembled an impressive-enough body of work to earn top honors in a vote of the conference sports information directors.
