Softball No No's

For me a no no would be cconstantly complaining about the coach's decisions - pitch calling, line up, to bunt or not to bunt, to steal or not to steal, etc, etc. Believe me when I say that your comments always get back to the coach!

I have never carried my kids bags but if I choose to, so what? Maybe she needed some help, that's why they call me their DAD.

Pet peeve.....snobby, elitist parents. This past fall I was watching a game where team A was was playing an elite level team, team B. Team A was starting to time the pitcher and strung together a few hits which led to them scoring their first run. A team B mom very sarcastically says, "Oooo, congratulations. You scored 1 run." It was such a rude, spiteful, disrespectful comment and unnecessary.

Parents who are loud and openly critical of someone else?s dd. It?s bad enough to be that way with your own, but someone else?s? You?re just asking for trouble. Two year ago my dd missed routine fly ball and another parent made a loud and very negative comment. I just completely ignored it, but it was very hard.

Completely agree with this one including all relatives or "fans" - keep it positive or keep it to yourself.

Pet peeve....when fans from the game before yours decide they want to stay and watch your game, but don't move from prime spots and block your view (especially indoors when space is limited). I like to watch other games when my DD isn't playing, but I move out of the way for the families of the girls playing. I think it's common courtesy.

Granted, my DD is 12u and I haven't been able to make myself move to the outfield fence yet. Maybe it won't bother me once I manage to move out there! ;)

Saw an entire college coaching staff take a cigarette break between games at their double header.
At least they weren't smokin in the dugout.

That's a REALLY good one! If your kid isn't playing. Move so the parents can watch. Furthermore, stop letting your kids stand-up right in front of the parents trying to watch their kids. I realize that it's your break time. So just move and be respectful of others. You can have your spot back after my kid is done playing.

Little siblings playing right behind the backstop fence, fingers through the fencing, throwing tiny rocks at the ump and generally being an irritating distraction for the parents/grandparents in the stands.
