WEST POINT, GA: Point University (27-23; 15-9 AAC), directed by head coach Jennifer Tyler, is seeded number six in the 2018 Appalachian Athletics Conference Softball Tournament at the Brickyard Ball Fields in Kingsport, Tenn., April 25-28. The tournament is an eight-team, double elimination tournament. Point tied with Milligan College for fifth place in the AAC regular-season standings, and the two schools split their doubleheader. Milligan won the second tiebreaker criterion by outscoring Point in the two head-to-head games, 12-10. Truett-McConnell University (34-14; 19-5 AAC) won the regular-season championship, and Tennessee Wesleyan (27-15; 18-6 AAC) received the number two seed with Union College (21-21; 17-7 AAC) third and Reinhardt University (27-23; 17-7 AAC) in fourth.
