COCHRAN, Ga. – Middle Georgia State University (1-3) rallied for two runs with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning of game one and defeated Point University (2-2), 4-3, and the Skyhawks scored seven runs in the third inning of game two and earned the doubleheader split with an 8-0 win, in Saturday, Feb. 9 collegiate softball action in Cochran, Ga. Coached by Jennifer Tyler (8th season), Point plays three doubleheaders next week, including Wed., Feb. 13, at Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Ga., at 3 p.m.; at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Ga., Fri., Feb. 15, at 3 p.m., and at West Point Park Field in the Appalachian Athletic Conference season-opener, Sat., Feb. 16, against Columbia College (S.C.) at 2 p.m.
