INDIANAPOLIS - A pair of big scoring innings and dominant pitching from the Marian pitching staff helped the Knights to a pair of five-inning wins over Goshen College in Indianapolis Monday afternoon. The Knights won 9-1 in game one, as Breena Smith got the win as the starting pitcher, marking her 100th career victory for Marian, becoming the first pitcher to ever do so in program history. The Knights then turned around to win 9-0 in game two after the senior day festivities. Marian is now 42-0 overall and 30-0 in Crossroads League play, sitting one game away from clinching the conference crown.
