[Softball] Softball ends season at KCAC Championships; Seniors make contact one last time

GREAT BEND, Kan. - The Bethel softball program (19-24, 10-12) made the 90 minute drive from campus to Great Bend twice over the last two days, in order to compete at the KCAC Championships for the first time in their seven-year program history. Clinching the seventh seed, the Threshers were originally scheduled to take on second seeded Oklahoma Wesleyan (29-17, 16-6) on Wednesday. Severe weather pushed this matchup to Thursday at 1:00 PM, where the Threshers could not put a stop to the inning-by-inning runs the Eagles were able to tack on. Bethel went on to lose 10-2, being pushed to the double-elimination bracket with a matchup against sixth seeded McPherson (27-23, 11-11). The Threshers were able to get hot late in this one, but again couldn't quench the fire that the Bulldogs were bringing with their own bats. Bethel was eliminated from the tournament after taking the loss, 12-4.
