After two doubleheaders cancelled due to weather and field conditions in February, the Eutectic softball team finally played its season opener on Tuesday at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, losing both games to the NCAA Division II Lions. A pregame injury altered the starting lineup for the Eutectics, who were already underdogs to the 11-4 Lindenwood team.
