The Lady Bulldogs completed their first sweep of the 2019 season against Austin College on Thursday night. Game 1 consisted of a defensive battle with Jarvis Christian College scoring the first run driven in by Riah Nunley in the 6th inning. Gabriella Omichi-Quintero would drive in the final run to make it a 2-0 victory for the Bulldogs. Freshman, Daisy Gallegos would earn the first win in her collegiate career pitching a 7 inning complete game shutout.
Game 2 of the double header: Jarvis Christian College would earn the victory with late scoring opportunities by a score of 10-8. Naomi Mata would lead all Bulldogs statistically going 3 for 4 on the night with 3 hits, 4 runs, 2 rbi's, and 1 walk. Graciella Becerra and Elisa Casas would add 2 rbi's a piece to help secure the win for the Bulldogs.
The Lady Bulldogs are set to travel to Rust College (Holly Springs, MS) over the weekend for a double header. Game Times are slated for 1 and 3 pm (CST).
