[Softball-SP] Alagna Signs With Springfield Softball
SPRINGFIELD (Ill.) -- Robert Morris University-Springfield softball coach Alexa McClaughry has announced the addition of pitcher Stephanie Alagna to the Eagles roster. Alagna -- a 2017 graduate of Aurora Central Catholic High School -- will begin her RMU career in the circle, where she has posted seven career shutouts.
"We are very excited to have Stephanie join us this fall," commented McClaughry. "She brings a tremendous amount of energy to the game, has shown versatility in her experience as both a pitcher and an outfielder, and demonstrates a consistent approach at the plate."
Alagna was a .300 hitter for the Chargers and was presented with the team's Most Valuable Player award for her performance during the 2017 season at Aurora Central Catholic. Off the field, Alagna received a Latin Honors Society award for her work in the classroom during the 2016-17 school year.
