In the second game of the California Pacific Conference Softball Championship, tournament host Simpson combined a big inning and a solid pitching performance to secure a 3-1 win over Embry-Riddle in Redding, Calif. The Red Hawks put up three runs in the 3rd inning, which proved to be enough for Sydney Moorhead, who overcame a shaky start and settled down to put together a nice seven-inning effort.
