You should have added the Softball Tournament Sites to this discussion. They are terrible! Hardly any actual info on the tourney's and they are never updated. Like to look and see who is registered before committing to a certain tournament, teams are not added as they register. Some of the biggest tourneys do have good sites but about 99% of them are lacking. With the amount of money spent to play, these people need to do a better job...

Replied to you on the other thread. Fastpitch showdowns do a great job IMO. Plenty of info, update the team list twice a month, posts game times in a timely manner and posts the results. What more can we ask for? BTW, had a question sent to Bill and it was resolved the following day.

This, as a topic, threw a curve-rise at me as I did not intend it as a post. Originally, I made this comment on the Team Organization post about the lack of info on the "Tournaments" sites as well and I then suggested that the "Tournament" sites were less than desirable as well. Admin must have thought it was worthy and re-posted upon my behalf. Am honored! The main point of the post was that the "Tournament Section" websites are not only out of date, have no results, and give you no basic information. They basically tell you guaranteed games and fees. Nothing about park layout, teams entered, A or B teams/Year, schedules, draws, or format. It's time for the directors/managers of these tournaments to describe and relate what makes their tourney stand out amongst the rest.. No Info equals No Interest

I liked both sites. Unsweetened iced tea, typo?? Enjoyed the clear layout and unique details of both. Menu is nice too. Do most TDs have real-time updates accessible to parents/players/extended family or coaches only? Nice job, basketball could learn a few things.

Good Job I have never seen Ball Park menu before, Nice Touch. I might have to add that to ours! Here is our Tournament website. http://auntrosiestournament.com/

Very nice, very professional. BTW the Rib eye Steak sandwich at the CWMT is "the real deal". Top shelf right there! Those ladies and gentlemen in the concession stand really care about doing a great job and it shows!

Some send the info out in the coaches's packet, however it's certainly nicer to have the info posted instead. Field maps are very handy, especially in parks like this one.

I dont have a map to represent but Berliner in Columbus has over 32 fields and a map would be nice for the newbies but once there before, its pretty simple.

DD's team playing seven tournaments this summer. Used the Tournament sites to see who we may be playing and only one site has information on teams entered to play. To me, it's totally unacceptable.

I am trying to utilize our National website and better inform off it. Our state website can only tell so much of the story. Our national has the capability to be updated from a simple log in vs the state site which requires logging into a program.

National website: www.playnsa.com. Sample tournament listing: http://www.playnsa.com/TournamentView.aspx?tid=112418.

State website: www.playnsaohio.com

The challenge on our state website is the state office does not host all of the events. If I have a director who does not post team lists on OFC, then I am behind the 8 ball so to speak on team lists, etc. Same if they do not post brackets or pool times on their sites. The national site has the capability of showing team lists, who has paid (in bold), and uploading documents etc. The catch is the teams have to be sanctioned with us so their number can be loaded to the event. If they do not get sanctioned, then we can't show them on the list.

Now if I have a director like Josh, the LGSA, Bill and Mendy, Passion, Athens SWAT, Lancaster Pride, OFC, etc who keep their sites up to date, then I would prefer teams go to their sites for the information.
