Miami Valley Christian Academy in Newtown Ohio is launching our new High School fast pitch softball program, and we have a team of solid ball players but have 3 openings that we need to fill.

We need a catcher most of all, but need at least 2 more players to complete the roster and begin our first season of softball.

If you are a homeschooler looking for a high school softball team, please consider us! Contact me at mmyers@tds.net for more information.

Thank you!

You might want to call OHSAA concerning this issue.

BYLAW 4 - STUDENT ELIGIBILITY
Section 3. Enrollment and Attendance
4-3-1
EXCEPTION 6: A student who is home schooled and is enrolled in a member school in accordance with the partial enrollment policy of a Board of Education or similar governing board may be eligible at the school where the student is enrolled and attending. Such partial enrollment policy requires that at least one of the courses be taken at the school's physical location.
Note: A student entering a member school from a home school must do so at the beginning of the school year after having been home schooled for at least one calendar year. Failure to meet this one-year provision requires the student to be enrolled for a minimum of one grading period before the student can be declared eligible.

I would imagine that for the first year this won't really matter if they aren't planning on playing in the State tourney. When we started fastpitch at Northmor back in 1994 they played a JV schedule only.

that's exactly right, if you are a member school. We're a small Christian school, non member, so it doesn't apply.

We've filled these spots, so thank you! :)
