Had my second basemen brake able leg this past weekend. Obviously gonna miss her tons but great kid and will still be around. Her mom and her wanted to know if I had anything could work on sitting down lol. My response is to take some time off get better . But for her sake any ideas on some little things could do over next 6-8 weeks? Like I said I would not even ask but they insist and I love the drive so since kinda stumped me wanted to ask all great minds out there if any ideas?

My dd broke her leg a couple years back(both bones and had compartment syndrome). She was able to do front hand/ back hand drills hitting from on top of a bucket. She was able to throw sitting from a bucket as well.

Sorry to hear about the player. Hope she heals quickly. Time seemed to go in slow motion when this happened to my dd. Dr's never expected her to play the summer at all. She did not miss 1 summer tournament. It is amazing how fast kids heal compared to us parents. I would have been out of commission for half a year.

I know how they feel my dd just got her cast of from a broken thumb on the glove hand. she drove me crazy wanting to play and do anything softball for a month. It is hard to tell a kid like that to just get rest and get better good luck and fast healing.

Over the years we have had shoulder issues, broken leg, arm. Find a cheap bar stool that swivels and adjust to your daughters height or Harbour Freight sells a mechanics stool that adjusts up/ down and swivels. You can take the wheels off or leave them on. Usually you can find the stool for 19.95 to 23 dollars. I like using the mechanics stool as it allows for movement of the hips to a certain degree giving the hitter a better feeling.

In my opinion throwing should be done if possible.....talk to her PT specialist and run the ideas through them in my opinion. I have always recommended the hitter to keep the PT person in the loop. Also knowing if it is her lead or back foot/ leg would help to find specific drills as to positioning of the body as well as below the knee or ankle. I have used foam rubber to help in the angle adjustment of the leg also.

However check with doctor first!
