What are the Rules when it come to being a Sub for different teams for ASA Eastern National Qualifier tournaments.

Can a player Sub for Multiple Teams?
If Team (A) wins a seed for ASA Eastern National, can she sub for Team (B) the following weekend in another ASA (EN) Qualifier?

No rosters are going to be frozen till you submit final paperwork - so sure, why couldn't they!
Quite a few players will end up on different rosters next summer, than they are this fall - so sure.......Don't let someone scare you!!!

That's a tough one. I was under the impression that once a team has qualified, that roster is frozen and the player would have to be released.

We were told by the ASA our daughter could sub for another team at the ASA Eastern National next weekend with out jeopardizing her standing with her team.

ASA berths won during the fall do not freeze players to that roster for the following year. The team has to fulfill the returning team requirements in order to keep the berth (i.e. min 5 players).

All the Associations go from Fall to Fall now..........so if you are not having 5 players next Spring from this fall team - then you are not doing something right......

You're correct for Ohio, but mistaken if you're saying all associations changed nationally - it is an OPTION that not all have chosen to do. For example, see Colorado's announcement - Colorado ASA changes 2016 JO Registration season to September 1-August 31.

ASA's bylaws and rules still run on a calendar year (i.e. Jan thru Dec). They have their annual meeting in November to vote on changes for the following season (i.e. year). They would have to change that if they redefine their season as running Sept thru Aug.

SoCal Dad is right roster are not frozen in the fall. Teams pick up subs in the fall for all kinds of reasons.. Biggest ones are kids playing a fall sport or other fall activity. In Ohio you can still have a mix team of 01 and 00 and play in a 14u qualifier and it is legal. If They win the bid they can keep it as long as they meet 5 player min next year.
