Synergy for slapping/draggin

This is kind of an extension of the other thread about slapping. My daughter's slapping coach said that in college she used a synergy. Does anyone recommend or discourage a specific year we are leaning towards the 2006 (orange) or maybe the blue 2008. I was told the pink one (not sure the year) vibrated a lot. So we are going to stay away from the one. Leaning towards the 06 but the prices I am finding are similiar for the 06 and 08 and one is -9 and the other -10 and both are balanced. Any input?

We need to get her something new...soon....it is almost spring and we want her to get used to swinging it before the weather breaks...especially since her old bat is end loaded...ugh.

Get something she can handle. Most slappers I see use a Synergy or a Catalyst.

I agree with Chip. Slappers are taught a different swing and hit down on the ball for one type of slap. Unless you also hit for power the slapper should stay away from the end loaded bats. I have found kids tend to struggle (with for an example an RT) when they are trying to slap or bunt.

I think I am being misunderstood. Yes I understand this. My question is not what bat to look for. She wants a synergy. We have narrowed it down to either the blue 08 or the orange 06. We are looking for any input on these specific bats.

Birdmocken, Just make sure you check those synergy's on the ASA banned list, I'm pretty sure I saw a few banned as well as the yellow Catalyst.

The Synergy is not bad for slapping my DD had one. I think the only suggestion I have is sticking to the -10. I know they have diifferent bats the same color with different graphics.

I stand corrected I don't think its any of the bats your looking at. Synergy SCX2,SCX22 and Synergy 2 and I'm sure you know about the yellow Catalyst,Dakota got.

Thanks. Yea, the -10 yellow catalyst is still ok I believe. Those synergy's are older ones. I did look the other day. I feel bad for D's mom, that really stinks....Moe already has a synergy but it is end loaded and we need to get away from it since she changed to strictly the left side this year.

I don't know a thing about Bats, I say "Ron order her what she needs" and he does it. Paige switch hits and drags from the left a lot, I don't know if she should be using a different bat to drag or not???? She uses the 08 RT is that a good bat for dragging do you know?

In my opion the scn1b synergy is the best synergy out there. My daughter has two of them they are super hot when broken in. I dont think it matters what bat is used.It depends on the batter and there prefrence and feel.

RT's are the worst bat we had in regards to slapping and dragging. But, if your just using it to drag from the left side and the small game isnt your bread and butter I think the RT would be fine.
