We finished 4th at ASA State one spot out of going to College Station, Texas so now we're 100% committed to KY, wondering who else from your area is going.

Speaking of geography (and Run25 is correct about snocatz), how in the heck do the ASA Northern Nationals end up in KY?

Yep, I'm in MN and we only had 3 berths at our ASA States.

If you look at ASA Map Northern region includes KY. But beleive me I asked the same question when I saw where it was. If Easterns would have been in OH we might have opted to go there instead, but PA isn't any closer than KY for us. On the plus side I would guess we may draw some southern teams to KY as well because of the proximity.

I've got teams asking to use my players as pickup's at College Station, TX the week after KY. Pretty sure ASA says one National per customer per year, anyone else ever hear different?

Rich, how did you earn a berth to Northern Nationals? Can you just "swap", as I think was stated in the last few days on OFC?

Thanks, carol

IMU that it is written in the ASA code that you can choose to attend a regional in a region other than your own. Sometimes the closest regional tournament is in someone else's region.

Clipped from ASA Code below.

H. Girls’ Class A ASA Fast Pitch National Championship Finals.
The ASA shall conduct one National Championship Finals Tournament in each age
classification of Junior Olympic Girls’ Class A Fast Pitch in each of the following
territories, In accordance with Article 203, Territories of this Code.
01. Eligible Teams. All teams within an ASA National Championship Finals
Territory that have not qualified for an USA / ASA Junior Olympic Girls’ Class
A Fast Pitch National Championship are eligible to qualify for the ASA
National Championship Finals Tournament through their local association.
Teams may play in their closest National Championship.

Sorry Carol that I didn't get this answered earlier but it looks like it was answered none the less.

Ohio teams have the option of which they want to attend depending on which is geographically closer. Already checked with Warren Jones and our "A" Eastern Qualification will work for the "A" Northern.
