Thunderplex Rules

This will be my first time at the Thunderplex this coming weekend (I'm a head coach of a 14u team) and I was hoping that some of you that have been there could help me out. ?What types of rules are implemented there? ?For example, is there a netted ceiling with outs called when the ball hits the ceiling before a certain point? How far are the lines for LF, CF, RF? ?Etc.....

Also--I was wondering what the climate is like there? ?Is it usually warm/cold/in between?

Lastly, maybe Dave can answer this one in particular or someone that went to one of the qualifiers there already--is there an admission charge to park/get in the bldg?

Any help would be really appreciated!! ? ?;D

We were at the 16u last weekend and had a good time. The ceiling rule is just the same as Spano Dome. (two fair in the ceiling and you are out) The right and left field lines are both about 100 feet. Dave can give you exact dimentions. You will play with all three outfielders. There are no ground rule doubles, everything off the nets is as much as you can get. The field area has plenty of room to warm up. More so than Spano because you can warm up on the third field which is smaller than #1 and #2 as well as the two cages and two pitcher warm up areas.

It is a little chilly in the fields, but is nice and warm in the clubhouse area.

There is no charge to get in.

I would like to thank Dave for hosting a great tournament last weekend and hope you enjoy yourself this weekend,

Thanks, John.

The fields are 107 x 118 - the long side depends on which field you are on.

This is going to be a fun weekend.
