For the past few years, my father and I have been throwing 2 or three days a week, but this year, we sometimes didn't even thorw at all during the week. This year, I have been throwing harder tawords the end of the season while in previous years, my speed decreased a ton. Was is better to practice more in the last two years, or not practice as much and save my arm?

Remember that you are growing every year, both physically and mentally. ?As you grow your stammina should increase as long as you stay active.

I have noticed the same thing in my DD this year. ?She is throwing harder, and more accurately now than in the beginning of the season. ?I attribute it to three things; she has physically grown a tremendous amount this summer, She threw less games this summer but at a higher level of competition, and she is in a good place mentally this year.

If pitching becomes mundane or more of a chore than a passion you will see a serious decrease in performance. ?I would be willing to bet you had a great time this summer and probably had more success than normal on the mound.

This by no means is a reason not to practice, just make sure your doing it for the right reasons. ?Make it enjoyable and you'll get more out of it.
