anyone ever attended one of Uncle Chalie's tourneys down in Ashland?

just looking for some feedback so we can decide if we want to go play one of them.

Team competition?
Fields ?
TD and how things are run?
Concessions, bathrooms etc...

any feedback would be appreciated.

thanks

It's more of a lower A level Solid B level event. They run the event really well and decent amount of college coaches. (also depends on if the girls reach out to coaches)
Fields are nice.
Its same weekend as Stingrays if i'm not mistaken so guessing thats why they dont pull the top shelf teams.

Correct. Yes they run multiple events per year. You asked about “Uncle Chalie's tourneys down in Ashland”.

They always run against Lasers and Stingrays weekends. Most teams would play either of those events instead of Charlie’s. Nothing personal at all. Great events.

Uncle Charlie’s host quite a few of events every year. Not bad events at all. They just tend to draw lesser competition.

If they want to move weekends I think they would get more quality competition at their events.

Not sure they're actually interested in that. I think they're more geared towards and want the teams that they get. For years and years they've run against the top showcases in the state for that reason. Those showcases were, and still are, invite only as far as I'm aware. Many college coaches know that certain athletes are out of their reach so Uncle Charlie's is marketing to those specific teams that wouldn't normally be invited and those college coaches that feel they wouldn't be able to get those major D1 student-athletes until they've been bypassed by the recruiting process by the schools that go to Stingrays and Lasers. ( Yes, sarcasm)

Good tournaments. Well run and actually fair. They won't put you on the championship field simply because of the name on the front of your jersey Decent number of mid-major D1's, D2's, D3 and NAIA coaches. You might be surprised how often a Major D1 coach would stop up to window shop though and the cost is right.

Great people. Great events. We played in the Findlay ones the last few years. Always our favorite tournaments of the year. Highly recommend. If you're lucky enough to win, girls take home pretty cool championship and runner up rings!
