There are so many negative comments these days about poor umpiring. I would like to compliment the umpiring at the NSA tournament in Urbana this weekend. The 16U umps were the best I have seen as a whole group in awhile. They were professional in dress and knowledge. Hats off to the director and the umps. You were noticed in a positive way.

We had a couple of good ones on the 14U side behind the plate. But we also had a couple that belonged no where near a field. One plate ump forgot the count not once, but twice. Why does the umpiring seem to be so bad this year??? I don't remember it being so bad last year.

i watched alot of the games and thought that the umpire were pretty darn good with the exception of one who was blowing call after call on the 12 u field. but can't let one bad apple ruin it. was really impressed with the rest of them. Great touney, great weekend. there were alot of good teams battling it out...
