This is a Monday and what a great chance to meet some of the best players in the world. My dd wouldn't miss this chance to watch her two favorite players Crystal Bustos and Natasha Watley. Howard do you think she might be a little excited to watch them play? I bet she has the cell phone screen saver out showing everyone the PICTURE that day! I will PM you.

Dan make sure you show CB the picture of her in her helmet and opening game jacket. Take it to her so she will sign it for Dana...that will be priceless!

Tell Dana to ask her to show her, her upper right arm....she will know who put her up to it!

That's one I wouldn't mind seeing!

As a side note, ASA state commissioner Warren Jones seems to be taking a positive and proactive approach to promoting softball in Ohio. All of my dealings with him have been great and he really seems to be interested in helping the sport grow.

He was instrumental in securing and running the ASA National Umpire School that was held in Massillon over the winter, which was the most-attended of the several such schools across the country put on by their national staff.

Warren is from Ashland, and last week he was on business down in Columbus. He had heard about the Columbus men's fastpitch league (Thursday nights at Whetstone Park of Roses) and decided to drop by to watch the games. Imagine my surprise when, as I was warming up for the game, I look over and see the state ASA commissioner standing along the sidelines!

Now that is a real softball fan!

With the USA team playing at Brookside and that I used to grace those fields in my younger day, they will haft to retire the field because it cant handle much more greatness! ?:D

It is awesome for Ashland to have team USA come in. I will be there to watch it. Maybe it will ease the pain some with Ashland loosing the state tournament games this year.

For those out-of-towners go to BW3`s there on Claremont Ave,they truely do have the best wings of all the other BW3`s we have ate at!

Bretman, I agree. Warren Jones is a really good guy and doing what he can to promote the sport. In all my dealings with him, he has been extremely helpful and cooperative.

And LakeErieHillbilly....their BW3's IS one of the best! Their wings are fantastic! For anyone going....its right beside the Ashland University. Ashland also has a couple of good Mexican restaurants, among other good places to eat. Its a neat, college town!

I know this is about the USA team, but if you would like to see another national team on US soil in OHIO touring before their trip to Bejing this summer, that is poosible also. The Dutch National team finished their Hawaii/San Fancisco Tour on 3/12 but will be back on US soil again in May/June for their America II-NPF Tour. They will be playing the Akron Racers June 18-20 just before heading back to the Netherlands. Other teams they will compete against are the Philadelphia Force & Rockford Thunder during their tour.

You can check out their website at www.dutchsoftballteam.com
