USA womens Baseball?

Was just watching ESPN and it scrolled on the bottom of the screen that the U.S is putting in a bid for womens baseball for the 2016 Olympics!! Anyone know anything about it?? No softball but baseball? Really?

has to be a misprint... no way! Maybe there way of getting into the Olympics pursuing 2 avenues... baseball and softball. IN reality how women's baseball teams exist.
