After a few years with the Storm, I was offered and accepted a new role with the Ohio Edge. This is a new beginning for me and my families. We are excited and welcome the change. This won't be the typical Edge team you have witnessed in the past. We have worked hard over the past few years to build what we have and our core of talented ladies will be making the transfer. In the past few years we have acquired a record of 99-45-2. Along with this record came 2 National Births, 3 championships, 4 runner-ups, several semi-finals and a sweet 16 at the World Series. This is a quality team looking for some missing pieces. All positions will be considered.

Tryouts for Ohio Edge 14u will be August 10, 11 from 12-3pm at Wright State University Softball Complex on Raider Road in Dayton.

Tentative 2013-14 Schedule:

Fall - League & Tourney
Winter - Great Indoor Facility With All The Perks, 2 College Camps, Winter Tourney
Spring - Warm Up Tourney after School Ball
Summer - 6 "A" Tourneys

For the 2012,13 season as a Storm team we played ASA Fall Frenzy, Magic Bloodfest, Sinclair Showcase, Memorial Classic, Capital City, Laser Nation, ASA States, Gem City, Creek Challenge, Pride Challenge, and ASWS. We posted a record of 45-22-2 with a Championship, Runner-Up, and a Sweet 16 at the World Series. We were a true all '99 (1st yr 14u) team playing a very solid schedule. For 2013,14 we are looking to keep the same type of schedule but to have even more success!

We are looking for experienced players at a high level with great families with no drama. All roster spots and positions are open for competetion. The best 11 will make the roster and the best 9 will start. We are looking for we families not me families. This game starts and ends in the stands and with a team focus, you must be a team player. We have and will play in the best tourneys with exposure in mind. This team will not trophy hunt as our focus is to play the best to be the best as we can. We want to win but preparation for the highest level is our focus.

We had a very successful tryout this past weekend. I personally would like to thank every single young lady that was interested in joining our team. At this time, we have 9 committed players and a couple more offers outstanding. We are still looking for a top shelf pitcher with experience at a high level. Looking to add another starter to the rotation. Plenty of circle time for the right fit.
