The Central Ohio Lady Vipers 96 are going to put together a friendly on the weekend of June 29-30. For 16U teams...This is the weekend between ASA States and The Best of Best. We have struggled finding a strong local tournament or showcase that weekend at 16U, so we decided to save some money and put together a friendly.(I've talked to several other teams that are thinking the same way) I'm pretty sure there's an 18U gold tournament in Powell the same weekend, so we are going to let attending college coaches know about this as well.
We want strong 16U or 18U teams that are looking for a good workout that weekend. The format has not been decided yet, but I'm thinking we will take as many as 8-10 teams...Blind draw 5 games. Cost will be minimal...Enough to cover umpire & misc cost. This worked out REALLY well last year and I've have several team asked me to do it again, but instead of Memorial day weekend we are doing this weekend due to lack of options.
